Representative transactions

In M&A, clients are provided services from due diligence through negotiation, documentation and closing to legal support in corporate matters, tax, labour, environment and immigration issues to establish operations in the country.

In recent deals, the firm has assisted a world leader biotech company in the approval of GM varieties, an American cosmetic company to acquire a franchisee, advised a client with its mining projects on energy and environmental issues, as well on corporate issues; counseled an investor in oil & gas sector on concession issued and farmout agreement; counseled an investor in a real estate purchase and divestment issues; advised investors in procurement issues and a joint venture with a government entity. The firm also assists local and international clients in developing telecommunications, energy and natural resources projects, and counseling clients on tender offers, concessions and joint ventures.

Berkemeyer advises clients on international loans and guarantees, international sales and agency and distribution contracts.
