On September of 2010, Abascal, Segovia & Asociados, was created as a new concept for legal services, combining the efforts and experience of José María Abascal and Romualdo Segovia. The concept is based in a law boutique specialised in national and international commercial arbitration, litigation, workouts, mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions. The firm offers a specialised and personalised service to its clients in the areas of its expertise with the highest quality and ethical standards, affording the best value to its clients. At the start of each engagement, we work closely with our clients to understand the transaction objectives or establish a case strategy, a work plan, and determine the appropriate team, with a view to providing the most valuable service. We staff cases leanly and always directly involve a partner to approve and streamline each step of the process. We continuously communicate, schedule periodic meetings, phone conferences, or written reports to meet our clients’ needs. The boutique profile and design favours it over other larger national and international law firms since it offers the same or higher advice and service standard, while not being not subject to conflict of interest issues that are more common in larger law firms. We have strategic alliances with other law firms and independent lawyers in Mexico and abroad, that allow us it organise larger teams of lawyers when matters of our clients so require.
