Our lawyers based in New York, São Paulo, Madrid, Lisbon and London advise clients on a variety of finance transactions throughout Latin America, including in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The team consists of US, Spanish and English qualified lawyers with valuable domestic and cross-border experience primarily in the areas of corporate and banking and finance, litigation & arbitration, M&A, restructuring & insolvency, structured finance & derivatives and taxation.

The New York team consists of more than 150 professionals practising across the legal spectrum, offering the highest quality advice on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions. Clients consult the office on a wide range of matters, including antitrust issues, asset & project finance, banking, capital markets, executive compensation and benefits, financial regulation, investment management, litigation & arbitration, M&A, restructuring & insolvency, structured finance & derivatives and tax. The office in Madrid is built around the two core areas of corporate and finance, with further specialist areas including tax, projects, employment, competition/antitrust, litigation and real estate. The Lisbon office has six partners, one counsel and approximately thirty associates.

In Brazil, Linklaters entered into a cooperation agreement with leading Brazilian firm Lefosse Advogados to present clients with the highest quality advice on a wide range of Brazilian domestic and cross-border deals and cases.
