A fork in the road

Market focus in Latin Lawyer Issue 5

Tuesday, 12th July 2011 by Rosie Cresswell

Law firm partners attending Latin Lawyer's round table held in Lima this March were optimistic about Peru's future. For the first time, the discussion was "not political but economical". Three months later, left-leaning Ollanta Humala won the country's presidential election and all at once the future of the country and its legal market became far less certain. Rosie Cresswell reports on the meeting and asks attendees for their thoughts post-election on the opportunities and challenges for Peru and its law firms.
