Last month, amid the ongoing eurozone crisis and volatility in the world’s capital markets, Latin Lawyer gathered some of Washington, DC’s leading Latin America-focused practitioners to hear their perspective on the region’s position in the world and the role lawyers in the United States capital can expect to play. While the discussion was overwhelmingly optimistic as legal practices in the region and Washington grow in sophistication, there were fears of Brazil overheating and speculation over the role of international counsel in Chinese investment.
