Education: Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru Law School (1990), Yale University (LL.M.) (1993), Georgetown University (Orientation in the US Legal System) (1992). Fulbright Scholarship (1992) and Ford Foundation Scholarship (International Arbitration Research) (1993). Chair of the Mining Committee of the International Bar Association and former trustee at large of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (2007-2010). Member of the Legal Mining Committee of the National Mining, Petroleum and Energy Society (since 1994). Professor of Mining and Energy Law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (since 2007) and former professor of Mining and Energy Law at the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas Law School (2002-2006) and of Business and Civil Law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (1994-1998). Adjunct professor at the Law School of the University of Denver (2008). President of the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce (since 2008), Vice-President of the Latin American Mining Lawyers Association (since 1999) and member of the Mining Law Consultation Committee of the Lima Bar Association (since 2000).
