Jaime Herrera

Jaime Herrera is a founding partner of Posse, Herrera & Ruiz. He heads the Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Law practice groups of the firm and Co-Heads the Natural Resources and Energy practice group.

Jaime´s practice focuses on M&As, Infrastructure, Natural Resources and Energy Law (oil and gas as well as electricity and biofuels).

Jaime’s recent transactions include M&As, public-private partnerships and financing of companies in telecommunications, mining, oil, gas and energy. Jaime has also advised both sellers and buyers in several M&A transactions in various sectors of the economy.

Jaime received a Degree in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College of the University of London in 1987 and a Law Degree from Javeriana University in Bogotá. He has studies on technology transfer, commercial agency agreements and corporate acquisitions. He also participated in the group of experts who drafted the bill for the corporate law chapter of the Colombian Commerce Code.
