Ignacio M Aguirre U

Ignacio M Aguirre U was born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1972. He was educated at the Bolivian Catholic University, La Paz (licentiate in Law and law degree, 1996) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LLM in Law and Development, 1999). In 1994 he was legal assistant for environmental matters at Empresa Minera Inti Raymi and was on the committee for the EIA Regulation related to the environmental law. He has been an invited lecturer in Environmental Law at the Catholic University, La Paz. He is a member of the board of directors of Trenes Continentales SA and the Iberdrola group of companies in Bolivia, the La Paz Bar Association, the environmental law practice area group of Globalaw, the International Law Group. His practice areas are general commercial, corporate and business law, securities and restructuring, general civil and administrative law and environmental law. He speaks Spanish and English.
