M Carolina Aguirre U was born in La Paz, Bolivia, in 1976. She was educated at the Bolivian Catholic University, La Paz (Licentiate in Law, 2001), the University of Wisconsin (English as a second language, 1995), the University of Pittsburgh (English for lawyers, 2001), the Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración (EADA), Barcelona (Masters in Corporate and Fiscal Legal Counselling, 2004) and the Private Bolivian University, La Paz (diploma in Fiscal Management, 2005). She is a member of the Bolivian Bar Association and the La Paz Bar Association. She edits the firm’s newsletter “Orientación Legal”, and her practice areas are commercial law, corporate law, business law, administrative law, civil law, labour law, tax law and intellectual property. She speaks Spanish and English. She is currently concluding an online course on International Commercial Arbitration.
