Aragão was a professor at the Gama Filho University Faculty of Law (UGF), from 1975 to 1980. From 1978 to 1979 he was legal manager, and from 1979 to 1981 legal superintendent, at the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). He was partner and director of GP Investimentos from 1994 to 1997; and is a former legal consultant and director of the American Chamber of Commerce. Aragão is vice president of BOVESPA arbitration chamber; and a board member of Instituto Empreender Endeavor Brasil, a non-profit organisation fostering entrepreneurship. Memberships: advisory council of the Estudar Foundation, an institution granting scholarships; advisory council of the Foundation for the Antônio and Helena Zerrener National Charitable Institution. Member of the international arbitration commission of the International Chamber of Commerce; of the Institute of Brazilian Attorneys; of the Brazilian Financial Law Association (ABDF), affiliated with the International Fiscal Association); of the Minas Gerais Arbitration Chamber; and of the Andima Arbitration Chamber. He has been a partner of Barbosa, Müsnich & Aragão Advogados since July 1997. Education: Law degree from the Guanabara State University (1973). Membership: Brazilian Bar Association.
