She has been a member since 2006, was part of a software anti-piracy campaign by Business Software Alliance (BSA), and of the Intellectual Property and Globalization Program (2000 by the US government). She is an invited professor of Continuing Studies in Law at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). Carminatti is the author of “Trademarks v Domain Names - The Brazilian Experience”, in The Trademark Reporter, Official Journal of the International Trademark Association - INTA, vol. 91, September-October, 2001, No. 5; “Trademarks v Domain Names - Choose your Weapons!”, ABPI No. 51, March-April 2001; and “Brazil revamps its IP regulations”, in IP Worldwide, The New York Law Publishing Company, September-October 1997; among others. Has been a partner of Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão Advogados since November 2008. Education: continuing studies at the Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle de l’Université Robert Schuman (CEIPI), Strasbourg, França (1994-1995); Law School of the Universidade Cândido Mendes (1987); and of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1982-1984).
