Octavio Bofill is a senior corporate partner with experience in a broad range in commercial law practice, including merger and acquisitions, financing and regulatory matters. Mr Bofill is recognised as a talented attorney with skills in different areas in business law practice.
Mr Bofill began working in a firm linked to his family, Jorge Bofill Vergara. He then worked in the Chilean army (1985-1987), at Magasich & Cía (1987-1990), as a visiting attorney in Slaughter & May (1994) and at Allgemeines Treuunternehmen (1994). Mr Bofill worked at Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cia (1990-2006), where he was made a partner in1992. In 2006 he found Bofill Mir Abogados and is currently a senior partner of Bofill Mir & Alvarez Jana Abogados.
The practice of commercial law has allowed him to advise Chilean and foreign entities on their businesses in Chile and other Latin American countries, particularly representing transnational entities interests, establishing structures of distribution channels, contracting with companies distribution and ensuring political risks, credit and guarantees in such latitudes.
