Partner of Carey y Cía, senior member of the firm’s banking and finance group and head of the project financing group. He has participated in most of the large mining project financings in Chile; in projects and corporate financings for mining and other ventures. He has also participated in several international joint venture and finance transactions by Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO).
Before joining the firm, he worked for Empresa Nacional del Petróleo (ENAP), where he was in charge of the legal committee that prepared the legislation for Petroleum Operational Contracts (from 1974 to 1975), after which he went into private practice. He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
He is a graduate of Universidad Católica de Chile School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1974.
