Esteban Ovalle

Partner of Carey y Cía and co-head of its litigation group. He practices in the areas of civil, commercial and labour litigation, arbitrations and bankruptcy proceedings.

Worked with Ortúzar & Cía law firm (from 1993 to 1995). In 1995 he established his own law firm Ovalle, Cubillos & Labarca, where he worked before joining Carey y Cía in 2000. Professor of Family Law at Universidad Católica’s Social Sciences School in 1996 and assistant professor of the civil law department at Universidad de Chile Law School, 2006.

He studied law at Universidad Católica de Chile and was admitted to the Bar in 1994. Participant in the Academy of American and International Law of the Southwestern Legal Foundation, Dallas, 2001. He received a Masters in Tax Management from the University Adolfo Ibáñez Law School in 2003.
