Diego Peralta

Partner of Carey y Cía and co-head of its banking and financial group. He specialises in banking and financing, corporate and M&A project financing. He has given counsel to either party in local and international bond placements and to the underwriters in every international bond issued by Chile. He also has given counsel to lenders or borrowers or to sellers or purchasers in domestic and international syndicated and bilateral borrowings or M&A transactions.

He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and of the council of the Inter-American Bar Association.

Between 1985 and 1996 he was the general counsel for Citicorp and Citibank in Chile. In private practice from 1975 to 1985 and a legal assistant in the Chilean Contraloría General de la República (from 1972 to 1975).

He studied law at Universidad de Chile School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1975.
