Partner of Carey’s corporate, real estate and government contracts practice groups. His practice focuses on M&A, project development and international finance, real estate, government procurement and gaming law matters.
Mr Ríos is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Chilean Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s section of international law, where he is co-chair of the Latin American and Caribbean committee (between 2007 and 2008 and between 2008 and 2009), and vice chair of the international procurement committee (from 2007 to 2008 and from 2008 to 2009). He is a professor of US Business Law at the Universidad de Chile and American University’s joint LLM programme.
Mr Rios was senior associate with Hogan & Hartson in Washington, DC, international associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York, and in-house counsel with Western Mining Corp in Cuba. He earned his Law degree from Universidad de Chile in 1994, and an LLM, with distinction, from Georgetown University in 2001.
