Daniel Araya

Partner of Arias & Muñoz. He has counselled important banks, financial institutions, and multinational companies. He has worked with foreign investors in the private sector and has been involved in complex corporate and financial transactions.

Daniel holds an LLM (with focus on International Business Transactions) from the University of Houston Law Center, in Houston, Texas (2004), where he was a line editor for the Houston Journal of International Law. He obtained his Juris Doctor -equivalent law degree - from the University of Costa Rica Law School (1999). He is authorised as a practising attorney and notary public in Costa Rica (1999). His experience includes two years as a foreign legal consultant at Hutchison & Steffen in Las Vegas, Nevada and four years at Beirne, Maynard & Parsons in Houston, Texas.

Member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, American Bar Association (International Law Section), International Fiscal Association (IFA) and Costa Rican-American Chamber of Commerce - AmCham (Legal Affairs and Trade & Investment Committees).
