Marcello Hallake is a partner in the corporate and securities practice group in the firm’s New York office. He focuses his practice on the representation of European and US companies and financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, privatisations and other financing transactions, primarily in Latin America. Mr Hallake also represents Latin American, European and US companies in cross-border transactions. He is a frequent speaker at international law conferences and is the author of the ‘Wall Street’ column in Jornal do Brasil. Mr Hallake received an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center in 1994, as well as an MA in public and international affairs in 1994, and a JD in 1993 from Louvain University in Belgium. He is a native of Brazil and is fluent in French, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as conversational in Italian and Dutch.
