Mr. Garza has worked in some of the largest structured finance transactions, including most recently in securitization deals and local issuances of equity certificates known as CKD’s, representing both sponsors and financial intermediaries. Also, Mr. Garza regularly works in financing transactions, specialized banking and financial regulatory work, debt restructurings, structuring and implementation of equity funds, including in the real estate and infrastructure markets, mergers and acquisitions of financial assets and financial intermediaries, and foreign investment and joint venture transactions in a variety of industries. Mr. Garza has recently worked representing both commercial companies and financial entities in cross-border finance transactions and in the implementation of securities representing a real estate interest, known as fibras.

Mr. Garza has been recognized as a leading attorney in the practices of banking and finance, project finance, structured finance and cross border mergers & acquisitions by numerous publications, including Latin Lawyer.

Mr. Garza earned his law degree from the Universidad Panamericana, summa cum laude, and received his Master of Laws degree form the University of Texas. Mr. Garza is a Professor of Credit Transactions Law and Financial Intermediaries at the Universidad Panamericana and has been a lecturer on Mexican Business and Commercial Law at the University of Texas.
