John Stuart Leaman, escribano (notary public), born in 1952, is the partner in charge of the real estate department, the largest of its kind in Uruguay, with a vast experience in all kinds of real estate transactions, ranging from agriculture and forestry investments to commercial and tourism developments. He also has a wide experience in aviation, mining and banking matters and has advised many clients in international calls for bids in the public sector. Additionally he has also specialised in foreign investments in Uruguay and has spoken in various international conferences and events on the subject. He is member of the Association of Notaries of Uruguay (Asociación de Escribanos del Uruguay) and member of the International Bar Association.
