Elisabeth Eljuri is the head of the Corporate Department of Norton Rose in Caracas and co-chair of the Firm’s Latin American Practice. Elisabeth received her law degree cum laude from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and Masters in Law (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School. She is admitted to practice law in Venezuela and New York State. In Latin America, and Venezuela in particular, Elisabeth focuses on corporate and transactional work involving high-end sophisticated transactions as well as international dispute work related to major projects and infrastructure. Over the past 20 years of practice, in addition to her contracts and general business practice, Elisabeth regularly advises oil and gas producers and service companies engaged in upstream, midstream and downstream projects. She has led some of the most complex project finance projects in Venezuela over the past decade (acting generally for the sponsors). Elisabeth is considered a leading natural resources practitioner in Latin America.
