David Fenwick is a partner in the Latin America Group and resident in the firm’s São Paulo office, where he focuses on international finance and other cross-border matters. Mr. Fenwick represents underwriters, issuers and credit enhancers on international debt, securitization, equity and equity-related offerings, arrangers and borrowers on international loan facilities and infrastructure finance projects, and debtors and creditors on balance sheet management and debt restructuring transactions. In addition, he represents international investors in their Latin American transactions and Brazilian investors in their transactions abroad. Recent transactions include representing: a group of Brazilian and international financial institutions in relation to the restructuring of loan arrangements for members of the Schahin Group; a group of banks on the financing of two offshore drilling vessels; Brazilian bank issuers on senior and subordinated debt offerings; the Brazilian bank issuer of the first ever public offering in Switzerland carried out by a Latin American issuer; and a leading Brazilian bank on the structuring of R$1 billion of credit linked obligations secured by Brazilian and foreign financial assets.
