Humberto Celis Aguilar Álvarez, has more than 20 years experience working in the field of environmental law, energy and natural resources, focusing on regulatory compliance, liability counseling, dispute resolution, and corporate and real estate transactions.

Mr. Celis holds a law degree from UNAM (1989), an LL.M degree from the University of Houston (1993) and a postgraduate degree from the National Center of Environmental Law at George Washington University (1994).

He has been recognized by the English independent magazine “Who’s who Legal, the Official Research of the International Bar Association”, considering him within the Mexican leader environmental lawyers. Also, the Chambers for the Latin American region for Environmental Practice in Mexico ranked him in 2010 under the Band 1 as one of the most experienced lawyers.

Mr. Celis is a Member of the Mexican Academy of Environmental Law and the current President of the Mexican Academy of Energy Law.
