Alberto Cardemil

Partner and co-head of Carey y Cía.’s Natural Resources and Environment Group. His professional practice is focused on water law, natural resources transactions and litigation, corporate law and commercial law.

He worked at the Projects and Corporate Groups of the Australian law firm Freehills, in Melbourne and Perth, Australia, during 2005 and 2006. He served as an Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the law schools of the Universidad Católica de Chile (1998) and the Universidad del Desarrollo (1999-2002). He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and the Chilean Association of Water Utilities Sector Lawyers.

Having studied law at the Universidad Católica de Chile, he was admitted to the Bar in 2000. He obtained a Master in Laws (L.L.M.) from The University of Sydney, Australia in 2005.
