Chilean governmental agency Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO) has retained Morales & Besa to divest its ownership in a fourth water and sanitation company, Essal, following sales of stakes in Esval, Essbio and Aguas Andinas last year as part of the privatisation of Chile’s water and sewage processing industry.

Cariola, Díez, Pérez-Cotapos & Cía Ltda has helped Peru’s Banco de Crédito de Perú buy 60.6 per cent of Chilean investment bank IM Trust, the latest move by the bank to expand its reach across Colombia, Chile and Peru in line with the integration of the three countries’ stock exchanges.
